{"id":48,"date":"2022-05-14T12:39:13","date_gmt":"2022-05-14T12:39:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/techniahq.com\/?p=48"},"modified":"2023-05-02T16:25:56","modified_gmt":"2023-05-02T16:25:56","slug":"smart-home-concept","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/techniahq.com\/?p=48","title":{"rendered":"Smart Home Concept"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The Smart Home technologies are part of the current world digital transformation concepts like<br>IoT \/ Internet of Things, Real-Time Monitoring &amp; Control, Digital Twins\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As you can see in the diagram above, we can install plenty of components depending on our needs:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>we can install simple sensors like: a door sensor, motion detector, temperature sensors &amp; humidity sensors&#8230;etc<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>we can as well connect to smart surveillance cameras, with simple or with advanced features (depends on your budget!)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>smart switches can be also a good option for the people who want to control lights, water-taps and other stuff remotely<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>the smart home concept can be extended and go beyond all of that and include plenty of smart home appliances like A\/C, microwaves, washers and others<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>All these devices and sensors will be connected to what we call a &#8220;smart home gateway&#8221; or a &#8220;smart hub&#8221;.<br>this gateway is responsible of collecting data from all devices and sensors, and it&#8217;s also the responsible of<br>talking to smart switches or appliances when a remote control or remote action is requested by the user.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To communicate with Smart devices and sensors, most of the solutions in the market use what we call &#8220;low-power&#8221; AND &#8220;low-cost&#8221; Wireless technologies like: Zigbee and Z-Wave Protocols.
